KATONGO SCORES 19 MINUTES INTO HIS DEBUT

English defender of Zambian descent, Jadel Katongo, scored just 19 minutes into his debut for Peterborough United in an English Football League Trophy game against local rivals Cambridge United, resulting in a 2-0 victory for his team. Katongo, who is currently on a season-long loan at the third-tier club Peterborough from English Premier League champions Manchester City, is still eligible to play for Zambia. Despite representing England at the junior level, the 19-year-old defender's chances of playing for Zambia are uncertain as his representatives believe it would be better for him to focus on his time with the England national team.
