Former Chelsea midfielder, Charly Musonda Jr, has signed a three-year contract with Anorthosis Famagusta in Cyprus. The 26-year-old Belgian, who has Zambian roots, has been plagued by injuries throughout his career but is optimistic that a move to Cyprus could revive his form. Musonda spent a decade at Chelsea but only made a few appearances for the first team. He was loaned out to Real Betis, Celtic, and Vitesse but struggled to secure regular playing time. In the previous season, Musonda was released by Chelsea and joined Levante in the Spanish Segunda Division. Unfortunately, he failed to make a significant impact and was subsequently released at the end of the season. Musonda is hopeful that joining Anorthosis will provide an opportunity to rejuvenate his career. He possesses the skills to be a top-class player, but his ultimate challenge lies in remaining fit and proving himself consistently over a prolonged period.
