Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant has selected a 27-member provisional squad for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Comoros on September 9. The majority of the squad that helped Zambia qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations has been retained. Fashion Sakala is suspended, while China-based Evans Kangwa returns to the squad after a year. Local players have also been included for balance. Zambia leads Group H with 12 points, Ivory Coast has qualified, and Comoros is out of contention. The team will gather on September 4 before traveling to Comoros for the match.
