Copper Queens' potential Olympic Qualifiers opponent, Ghana, is in the best form of their lives, on an eight-game unbeaten run, and without conceding a goal in those matches, scoring 29 goals in the process. The appointment of the current head coach, Nora Hauple, has made the team a dominant force in those last eight games. Ever since the Swiss international took charge of the team, they have faced Benin (3-0), Senegal (3-0, 1-0), Guinea (3-0, 4-0), Rwanda (7-0, 5-0), and Benin again (3-0) in their first leg qualifier, putting them one foot away from facing the Copper Queens. With their return leg set for Tuesday, it will be interesting to see if they can record another victory with a clean sheet before they prepare to meet the high-scoring Copper Queens squad led by coach Bruce Mwape. Zambia's Copper Queens team is known for scoring goals even when facing much stronger opponents in the world, and the match against Ghana would be a good opportunity for both countries to see where they stand. Ghana is currently a side with clean sheets, while Zambia is a free-scoring side with the likes of Rachael Kundananji and Barbra Banda as trusted strikers to get goals. The duo both got hat-tricks in their last National team assignment against Morocco in a 6-2 win in Morocco when the team was preparing for the Olympic qualifiers matches against Mali. Unfortunately, Mali pulled out of the competition, putting the Copper Queens on hold without any action in the current round of Qualifiers. It will be an interesting clash between two sides in good form, and it will be fascinating to see which team comes out on top.
