Copper Queens captain Barbara Banda has stated that the team is ready for their friendly match against Morocco today. Speaking to FAZ media yesterday after training in Rabat, the Copper Queens attacker expressed that the team is in high spirits and morale is high in camp. "The morale is high, and the team is ready," Banda said. Banda emphasized the importance of winning the first friendly game ahead of the second friendly against the same opponent on 26th September. The team is preparing for the upcoming Olympic Qualifiers and WAFCON. "It's important to win the game because we have huge tasks ahead of us, which are the Olympics and WAFCON," Banda said. However, the skipper recognized that playing against Morocco, whom she described as a strong team, won't be easy and expects a tough game. "Morocco is not a pushover team; they are a very good side. We just have to work hard and push to win and be determined," Banda said. She also appealed for continued support from back home, highlighting the team's commitment to always strive for improvement. "It is motivating to see how people back home are supporting us and cheering us on. So, my message to them is to continue supporting us, and we will always elevate our game and provide them with good results," Banda said. The match will kick off at 20:00 and will be broadcast live on DSTV, GOTV, and Crown TV on Topstar.
