The Zambia women's national football team is set to make history tomorrow as they make their first-ever World Cup appearance. The Copper Queens will take on Japan in their opening group match and are determined to make a good impression. Zambia is currently the lowest-ranked team in the tournament, but they have been boosted by a morale-boosting 3-2 win over Germany in their final preparation match. Captain Barbra Banda scored two goals in that match, and she is confident that the team is ready for the challenge. "The preparations have been going on, so we as a team are very much ready for tomorrow's game," Banda said in a pre-match interview. "We are hoping to get the best results in tomorrow's game." Coach Bruce Mwape is also confident in his team's chances. "Tomorrow's game is a game that will boost the morale of our team if we come out with positive results," he said. "Other group games are equally important, but the first game matters a lot as it gives a clear picture of how to prepare for other fixtures."
