The Zambia women's national football team, the Copper Queens, have received a major boost ahead of their upcoming back-to-back international friendlies against Morocco, with the arrival of Madrid CFF striker Racheal Kundananji. Kundananji joined the team camp on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, following the arrival of the Kazakhstan trio of goalkeeper Catherine Musonda, defender Martha Tembo, and midfielder Ireen Lungu on Tuesday. Former Green Buffaloes forward Hellen Chanda is expected to join the team later today to complete coach Bruce Mwape's player puzzle. The Copper Queens are using the two friendlies to prepare for the 2023 COSAFA Championship and the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers. Mwape will be hoping that the arrival of Kundananji will give his team a much-needed boost in attack.
