Power Dynamos coach Mwenya Chipepo was pleased with his team's performance in a 1-1 draw against Simba SC of Tanzania in the CAF Champions League but was disappointed that they failed to progress to the group stage on the away goals rule. "I'm very happy with how the team performed today, but at the same time, we're disappointed because we failed to qualify," Chipepo said. "We came here to win and qualify for the group stage of the competition after a long time." Dynamos created more scoring opportunities than Simba but were unable to convert them. "We have learned something from the competition, but now we will focus on the league so that when we return to this competition, we can correct our mistakes," Chipepo said. Dynamos will need to finish top of the Zambian Super League if they want to represent the country in the CAF Champions League next year. Chipepo stated that his team will ensure they capitalize on their scoring opportunities in their next continental football match. "We will make sure to score goals," he said. "We said after the first leg that if Simba can score two goals in Zambia, we can also score two or more goals in Tanzania."
