NAPSA Stars coach Perry Mutapa remains positive despite his side, NAPSA Stars, yet to record a win this season heading into the week four encounter against Kabwe Warriors. Mutapa shared his insights and thoughts on the team's preparations and prospects for the critical encounter during a pre-match press conference conducted via Zoom. Mutapa's expectations for the match are clear: "Of course, we are yet to record a victory, so we are looking for nothing but a win." Despite the challenging start to the season, he remains resolute in his belief that his team can turn their fortunes around with a strong performance against Kabwe Warriors. The coach acknowledged the pressure on his players but noted that Kabwe Warriors also find themselves in a similar situation, eager to secure their first win. Mutapa emphasised that his team has been diligently addressing their scoring issues and working to convert the chances they create into goals. NAPSA Stars FC has struggled in front of the goal, managing to score only one goal so far this season. Coach Mutapa, however, remains calm, stating that there is no need to panic. He expressed confidence in the team's ability to find their scoring touch soon, highlighting the positive aspect of consistently creating opportunities. When asked about coaching pressure early in the season, Mutapa brushed aside concerns, stating, "I don't personally think about such things." His sole focus is on the upcoming match against Kabwe Warriors and improving the team's performance. Reflecting on the team's head-to-head record against Kabwe Warriors, Coach Mutapa identified the primary issue as their inability to convert scoring opportunities. He commended his players for creating chances and expressed optimism that they would soon rectify their scoring woes. Additionally, Coach Mutapa bid farewell to his former assistant coach Siphon, who had recently joined Nkana. Mutapa praised Siphon's contributions and wished him success in his new role. Discussions about Siphon's replacement are ongoing, but the immediate priority is preparing for the Kabwe Warriors clash. In terms of late-season form, Coach Mutapa attributed it to the late recruitment of strikers. He stressed the importance of short-term goals, such as qualifying for ABSA, and expressed confidence that the team would start the season strong in Kabwe.
