Chipolopolo Boys striker, Fashion Sakala, is set to create history on Tuesday as he becomes the first Zambian player to participate in the AFC Champions League. The 26-year-old will make his debut for the Saudi Arabian team, Al-Fayha, as they take on Ahal FK of Turkmenistan in an away group stage match. Sakala has had a promising start to his time in Saudi Arabia, scoring three goals in six league games since joining Al-Fayha from Scottish giants, Rangers, in August for a fee of 4.7 million euros. Al-Fayha are currently not in the best form, having won only one of their six league games this season. However, Sakala will be hoping to contribute to a turnaround in their fortunes in the AFC Champions League. The Zambian international is a fast and skilled forward who poses a constant threat in front of goal. He will be a valuable asset to Al-Fayha in their pursuit of qualifying for the knockout stages of the competition.
