Power Dynamos manager Mwenya Chipepo has missed the team's Lusaka trip for their week 10 fixture against log leaders Red Arrows, amid rumours that he is leaving the defending champions after a poor start to the season. According to inside information from the club, Chipepo's contract is ending, and he has not travelled with the team from the Copperbelt. Power Dynamos have failed to win any of their away games this season, and their performance has been short of the quality of a defending champion's team. Unconfirmed reports of Chipepo leaving the club would not be surprising, even though information from the club indicates that he requested not to travel with the team to attend to personal matters. If the news is confirmed, Chipepo will become the fourth manager to resign from a Super League team managerial position this season, following Chris Kaunda (Prison Leopards), Arbet Kachinga (Prison Leopards to Tridents FC), and Ian Bakala (Forest Rangers to Nkana FC). Chipepo won the league with Power Dynamos last season, but there have been stories that the relationship between his technical bench and the club's executive has not been at its best for a while now. Zed Sport will keep updating you on this developing story.
