Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President Andrew Kamanga has officially opened the FIFA Member Association Women Referees Course in Lusaka. In his speech, Kamanga highlighted the importance of the course, stating that it provides an opportunity for Zambian female referees to receive international training and develop their skills to the highest level. Speaking today at FATMOLS Lodge, Kamanga also lauded the progress made by female referees in Zambia, mentioning the achievements of Diana Chikotesha and Gladys Lengwe, who have both officiated at FIFA Women's World Cups. He further expressed his regret that Zambia will not have any representation in the refereeing department at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, but reiterated FAZ's commitment to fully embracing VAR in the game's development. Kamanga concluded his speech by urging the participants to set ambitious goals for themselves and strive for excellence in refereeing.
