Trident Football Club has taken the step of officially confirming Nkana Stadium as their temporary home venue for the upcoming season. The decision comes as a result of ongoing rehabilitation work taking place at their original home ground, Sentinel Grounds. With the need for an alternative venue, Trident FC has sought out Nkana Stadium and received the necessary approval to utilize it for their matches. In a statement issued by the club, Mr. Mvula Mangulenje, the CEO of Trident FC, highlighted the significance of having a home ground that not only meets the required standards but also provides a suitable environment for both the players and the passionate supporters of the team. The club's efforts to secure a temporary venue within the North Western Province were met with challenges, as the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) had not granted permission for Super Division football to be played at any of the available venues in the region. As a result, the club made the pragmatic choice of utilizing Nkana Stadium, a venue that meets the necessary infrastructure and safety standards for professional football. The authorities' cooperation and support in allowing the club to use their facility during this transition period are greatly acknowledged and appreciated. Mr. Mvula Mangulenje emphasized the club's unwavering commitment to finding a permanent home ground within the North Western Province. Acknowledging the positive impact a local base can have on both the team and the community, the CEO reassured fans and stakeholders that the club is actively engaging with their main sponsors to explore all available options. The goal is to expedite the rehabilitation process of Sentinel Stadium so that the team can once again host games there before the end of the year. The official statement was issued by Mwansa Innocent, the Communications Manager of Trident FC. This announcement underscores the club's determination to overcome challenges and continue to thrive, ultimately aiming to deliver exceptional performances for their fans and make a lasting impact in Zambian football. The hashtags #TridentFC and #TheConquerors encapsulate the spirit of the team as they face this new chapter with determination and ambition.
