Former Chipolopolo coach Patrick Phiri has expressed confidence in Avram Grant's ambitions to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, crediting Grant's positive influence on the team. Phiri pointed to Chipolopolo's successful qualification for the 2023 AFCON as evidence of Grant's leadership capabilities. The team's first match is scheduled for 17th November against Congo Brazzaville at home, followed by a game against Niger on 21st November. Phiri highlighted the importance of players embracing the process and meeting the three requirements when representing the national team. Phiri has also advised the team to adopt the correct attitude by adhering to Coach Grant's emphasized principles.
