After suffering three consecutive defeats without scoring a goal, Nkana FC finally scored and earned their first point of the season in a rescheduled week 4 fixture against FC Muza that ended 1-1 this afternoon at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka. Nkana went a goal down after 10 minutes into the match when FC Muza's new signing, Bienvenu Mboyo Ekoto, headed in Chipo Sondashi's pinpoint cross. Nkana FC, under the new leadership of coach Ian Bakala, pushed for an equaliser but couldn't find a way past the well-organised Muza defence. The match went into the break with the score at 0-1 for the visitors. The hosts, Nkana, started the second half on a high note as they kept pushing for an equaliser. It took second-half substitute Boyd Katuta to finally find the back of the net in the 83rd minute with a header. The draw means Nkana is now second from bottom with 1 point, while Muza has moved to 7th on the log with 6 points, having won one and drawn three. This is a much-needed point for Nkana FC, who have been struggling at the start of the season. They will be hoping to build on this momentum and start winning games in the coming weeks.
