Patson Daka has continued his incredible goal-scoring form for Zambia, scoring a brace in a 3-0 victory over Uganda in an international friendly match on Tuesday evening. The Leicester City striker now has six goals in six matches for the Chipolopolo Boys in 2023, making him the team's top scorer. Daka's goals have played a crucial role in Zambia's qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, and he will undoubtedly be one of the players to keep an eye on during the tournament. Daka opened the scoring against Uganda in the 6th minute from the penalty spot after Kings Kangwa was fouled. Fashion Sakala doubled Zambia's lead in the 63rd minute with a header from Zaphania Phiri's cross. Daka secured his second goal in the 69th minute, heading home another brilliant cross from Zaphania Phiri. This marked his sixth goal in 2023. Daka's performance proves to be a timely boost for Zambia as they prepare for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Ivory Coast in January. The Chipolopolo Boys have been drawn in Group F alongside Morocco, Tanzania, and DR Congo. He will undoubtedly be hoping to lead Zambia to a successful tournament, and will certainly be one of the players to watch.
