Miguel Chaiwa became the youngest Zambian player to play in the UEFA Champions League group stage on Wednesday evening, coming on as a second-half substitute for Swiss defending champions Young Boys in their 2-2 draw against Serbian defending champions Red Star Belgrade. Chaiwa, who is 19 years old, also became the seventh Zambian ever to play in the Champions League group stage, joining the likes of Kalusha Bwalya, Fwayo Tembo, Fashion Sakala, Enock Mwepu, Patson Daka, and Kings Kangwa. Kangwa was an unused substitute for Red Star Belgrade in the match. The result means that both teams have one point after two matches in the group stage, and they remain third and fourth on the log, respectively. Manchester City is top of the group with six points, followed by RB Leipzig with three points.
