Copper Queens Princesses coach Charles Haalubono has said that the team has been working to eliminate selfishness in the attack, as was evident in the first leg 2-2 draw against Congo DR in the 2024 Colombia World Cup qualifiers. Haalubono said that the team has improved, as was evident in today's training session, as the team scored many goals with plenty of passing in the final third. "We learned lessons from the previous game, especially in front of goal, regarding the selfishness of not passing the ball in the attack. We were supposed to score more goals, but we have been working on that and today it looked good. They have scored many passing goals, which means the girls are listening and the problem has been eliminated," he said. He also thanked the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) for attaching Kalililo Kakonje to the coaching team, as he believes it will help the girls gain valuable lessons from his presence. FAZ president Andrew Kamanga has urged the players not to get intimidated but to aim to score goals and qualify for the next round of qualifiers. "They came and scored two goals; we can also do the same when we play away. We shouldn't be intimidated. This is a good competition. If we can get to the World Cup, it will be good. As you know, the Senior Women's team just came back from the World Cup. It would be good for you to start your professional journey with the World Cup at U-20. We can only encourage you to work extra hard. And this being an away game, the GS will communicate on the token of appreciation that will prepare for you. We have to win this game and win the next two home and away games and go to the World Cup. Win this game, there will be winning bonuses for you," he said. Meanwhile, U-20 captain Esther Chitete Munsaka has assured the FAZ president that her team will go to Congo to record positive results despite drawing at home in the first leg. "We will work hard as a team. We promise to go and win there. We saw how they play. It pained us that they celebrated a draw here. So we are going to work hard and win. We promise even the president," she said.
