ZESCO United has extended Lazarus Kambole's loan deal for another season after the initial six-month agreement with Tanzania giants, Young Africans, came to an end. Kambole, who made a sensational return to United last season, helped the club secure a top-three finish in a campaign that proved agonizing for the 2020/21 Zambian league champions. The Young Africans midfielder made an instant impact at ZESCO United, scoring three goals in his opening four games. He will be expected to help the club in their quest for the Super League title in the 2023/2024 season. ZESCO United will kick-start their new season with an away fixture against Napsa Stars on August 19, 2023. Kambole returned to Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in January after three and a half years away. He previously played for ZESCO United from 2014 to 2017, winning the Super League title in 2016.
