Former Nkana FC forward Alex Bazo Ngona played seven minutes for his club side TP Mazembe in the African Football League (AFL) against Tunisian giants Esperance. Alex Bazi Ngonga started on the bench and only came on in the 83rd minute to replace P. Kinzumbi in the second half. DRC giants TP Mazembe faced Esperance in the return leg of the African Football League in Tunisia at the Stade Olympique de Radés. TP Mazembe had won the first leg in Lubumbashi, Congo DR 1-0, giving them a slim advantage as they headed into the return fixture. Esperance started the first half on a brighter note as Quahabi broke the deadlock in the 45th minute, putting the home side ahead and leveling the aggregate score at 1-1. The second half brought even more excitement as Bouguerra and Tougai found the back of the net for Esperance. Their impressive performance resulted in a 3-0 victory in the match, with a final aggregate score of 3-1. While TP Mazembe fought bravely, they fell short in this encounter, and their African Football League journey came to an end. Esperance's victory means they have secured a spot in the semi-finals of the African Football League.
