Zanaco FC head coach Wedson Nyirenda sees their upcoming fixture against Zesco United at home as easy. Speaking following a 1-1 draw with Power Dynamos in week 9 of the Zambian Super League, Nyirenda said that the home support will play to his team's advantage when they host Zesco United at the Sunset Stadium. "I think that will be an easier one. It will be easier at home; we will have our people in the backyard," Nyirenda said. Zanaco FC last season were battling relegation before the appointment of Nyirenda, who steered them away from the danger of demotion and was awarded a new contract at the beginning of the new season. The club has also supported him with as many players as possible, with more than 10 youthful faces joining the Bankers. Nyirenda feels that having young players in the team is a process that the team is embarking on. "I think we are trusting our process. It's a big project we are embarking on, with many young players in the team, but they are trying. You could see that most of them were not so free to play; they are getting initiated into the big game," he said. Zanaco FC is currently 5th on the table with 14 points, 4 points behind leaders Red Arrows. It's a good position for a side full of young players, some of whom are making their debut this season in the Super League. Zanaco will go head-to-head against fourth-placed Zesco United this Saturday with kick-off set for 15:00hrs.
