Clatous Chama continued his impressive form with a goal contribution in Simba SC's 2-2 draw with Al Ahly in the inaugural African Football League (AFL) match. Chama assisted Simba's equalizer after they went down at the stroke of halftime when Reda Slim gave the Egyptian side the lead. After the restart, Chama's magic was on display as he assisted Denis Kibu for the equalizer in the 52nd minute. Sadio Kanoute then added another goal to give Simba the lead in the 59th minute, but Kahraba leveled matters for Al Ahly in the 63rd minute. The match was played in Tanzania at a fully packed Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar-es-salaam. Chama's performance was a continuation of his impressive start to the season. He was given more minutes in Zambia's 3-0 win over Uganda on Tuesday after previously only playing less than 20 minutes under coach Avram Grant. Chama came in as a substitute to replace Golden Mwafwenta in the 58th minute and managed to show his brilliance in the middle of the park for Zambia. He built on that performance to put up an impressive 86 minutes for Simba, where he has been a shining star for a long time now. Chama will be looking forward to building on his bright start to the season ahead of World Cup qualifiers with the national team in November and the AFCON tournament in January.
