The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) President, Andrew Kamanga, has urged Zambian fans to support the country's two CAF envoys, Power Dynamos and FC Muza, in their return leg fixtures of the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, respectively. Kamanga, in his weekly Presidential Corner column, said that the two clubs have a chance to progress to the lucrative group stages of their respective competitions, but they will need the support of their fans. Power Dynamos drew 2-2 with Simba SC of Tanzania in their first leg CAF Champions League fixture at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, while FC Muza lost 2-1 to Diables Noirs of Congo in their first leg CAF Confederation Cup fixture in Mazabuka. "There is a window for our clubs to plan for the return legs that could see them enter the lucrative group stages," Kamanga wrote. "Credit should go to the fans that have turned up for both teams in their home matches." However, Kamanga expressed his disappointment at the few unsavoury scenes from fans at the two matches. "Regrettably, we witnessed a few unsavoury scenes from fans, which we always guard against," he wrote. "Such incidents could draw the wrath of CAF, which could cost our envoys a lot of money. The last thing we need is to make our stadiums be in the spotlight for spectator contraventions given that we are working on being accorded the right to host international matches at home for the Chipolopolo. Our plea to fans is that they should be good ambassadors of the game all the time." Kamanga concluded by saying that he is optimistic that Power Dynamos and FC Muza will perform well in the return fixtures. "We remain optimistic that our clubs will do well in the return fixtures," he wrote.
