Fashion Sakala's Al-Fayha were knocked out of the King's Cup in the round of 16 on Tuesday afternoon, losing 3-0 at home to Karim Benzema's Al-Ittihad. Sakala started the match and played 77 minutes, but he was unable to help his team prevent a third consecutive defeat. Al-Fayha had previously lost 4-1 to Al-Ain in the AFC Champions League last week and 3-1 to Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League over the weekend. It was a tough afternoon for Sakala and his teammates, who conceded three goals in each of their last three games while scoring just twice. Sakala himself did not contribute to any of his team's goals during this period. Benzema, the former Real Madrid striker, scored the third goal for Al-Ittihad, with the other two goals coming from Moroccan international Abderrazak Hamdallah. Al-Fayha will now have to shift their focus back to the Saudi Pro League, where they will face Al Tai on Friday in the hope of putting their three-game losing streak behind them and returning to winning ways.
