The Zambia Women's National Team is leaving no stone unturned in their preparations for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women's Cup. Currently training intensively in Fürth, a city in northern Bavaria, Germany, the Copper Queens are focused on getting in top form before their tournament opener against Japan in just 25 days. To fine-tune their skills and build team chemistry, the Zambian squad conducted a training session at the Sportclub Oberreichenbach e.V this morning. Furthermore, they are set to test their mettle in an international friendly match against Switzerland in Bienne on Friday. This encounter will provide valuable insights and allow the team to gauge their progress. Following the friendly match, the Zambian team will conclude their Germany camp with another exhibition game, this time against the formidable German team on July 7. These matches against strong opponents will serve as crucial preparation for the demanding challenges they will face in the upcoming World Cup. While all the players participated in the training session, four players - Catherine Musonda, Ireen Lungu, Martha Tembo, and Hellen Chanda - were absent. However, they are expected to join the team later today.
