Zambia's Chipolopolo boys midfielder Kings Kangwa made his UEFA Champions League group stage debut on Tuesday night, becoming the sixth Zambian player to do so, joining Kalusha Bwalya, Fwayo Tembo, Fashion Sakala, Enock Mwepu, and Patson Daka. Kangwa was introduced in the 83rd minute of Red Star Belgrade's 3-1 defeat to defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. Red Star Belgrade surrendered a 1-0 lead at halftime to lose 3-1 to defending champions Manchester City. Meanwhile, another Zambian player, Miguel Changa Chaiwa, has the chance to become the seventh Zambian to play in the Champions League group stage in the next group matches after his team, Young Boys, lost 3-1 to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night. Chaiwa's chance of making his debut lies in playing the next group matches against Red Star Belgrade, Manchester City, and RB Leipzig.
