The Zambia U20 national team has been eliminated from the FIFA World Cup qualifying matches on the away goal rule after a 2-2 draw with Congo in the first leg and a goalless draw in the second leg. Speaking to the media after the game, coach Charles Haalubono acknowledged that his team had missed numerous chances in both legs and that Congo was superior in finishing. "We created many chances but failed to score," Haalubono said. "Congo is better at finishing, and if we compare the two teams, the one that scores is considered better. Unfortunately, we were unable to convert our opportunities, and we need to work on that." Haalubono also expressed the challenge of working with the U20 team as the players continue to graduate but assured that they would address it.
