Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa played a starring role in Red Star Belgrade's 5-0 thrashing of Fiorentina in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday. Kangwa played 78 minutes as Red Star ran riot, scoring all five goals in the space of 18 minutes. Peter Olayinka opened the scoring in the eighth minute before Jean Philippe Krasso doubled the lead two minutes later. Mirko Ivanic made it 3-0 in the 12th minute, and Olayinka scored his second goal of the game in the 23rd minute. Osman Bukari rounded off the scoring from the penalty spot in the 25th minute. The win was a perfect way for Red Star to end their pre-season preparations ahead of the start of the new season. They will kick off their title defense on Sunday at home against FK Vojvodina. Kangwa will be hoping to continue his good form into the new season. He was a key player for Red Star last season. Kangwa is a versatile midfielder who can play in several positions. He is strong in the tackle and has a good passing range. He is also a good dribbler and has a knack for scoring goals. Kangwa will be hoping to help Red Star win their 30th league title this season. They are the most successful club in Serbia, having won the league 29 times.
