In an interview from Dakar, Senegal, Chinyemba expressed pride in his performance and revealed his plans for intensive training in preparation for the Olympic tournament. His hard work paid off as he became the first Zambian athlete to qualify for the Paris Olympics after winning gold, defeating Tunisian boxer Ala Eddine in the flyweight final. Chinyemba, a two-time Olympian, is determined to add an Olympic medal to his achievements after previously reaching the round of 16 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and securing bronze at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Unfortunately, several other Zambian boxers, including Mwengo Mwale, Hilda Ng'andwe, Felistus Nkandu, Mary Mhango, Margaret Tembo, and Andrew Chilata, did not secure Olympic berths.
