The Zambia national football team, the Chipolopolo Boys, will play against the Egypt national football team, the Pharaohs, in an international friendly match next month in the United Arab Emirates, as confirmed by the Egyptian Football Association (EFA). The match is scheduled to take place on 12th October, four days before Egypt takes on Algeria on 16th October. Both games will be held at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium. This friendly match is one of the two matches that Zambia is set to participate in October as part of their preparation for the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, which are slated to commence in November. The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is yet to confirm this development and the second opponent that Zambia will face during the October FIFA international break. Zambia will aim to achieve a positive result against Egypt, who hold the 32nd rank in the FIFA world rankings, while Zambia is placed 82nd. This match will serve as a significant test for Zambia as they gear up for the crucial World Cup qualifiers ahead.
