Nkana President, Chikusi Banda, is delighted to witness the record-holding Super League champions secure their first victory of the season. However, he emphasizes the importance of the players maintaining their focus in the matches ahead. In a significant turnaround, Nkana, a 13-time Super League champion, triumphed over Prison Leopards with a 1-0 victory at President Stadium in Kabwe, ending their eight-game winless streak. This victory propelled Nkana to the 17th position in the league with 6 points, on par with Prison, who occupy the 16th position. Banda expressed his satisfaction that the team finally earned maximum points after a challenging start. He urged the players to keep their concentration, move past the win, and prepare for the upcoming matches. Banda anticipates a demanding game against Nkwazi but has faith in the team's capabilities, saying, "They are equal to the task." Nkana is set to face Nkwazi in a Super League Week 10 fixture at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka. Before their win against Prison, Nkana had suffered five losses and three draws under the coaching of Ian Bakala, who took over from Beston Chambeshi in September. Banda acknowledges the team's progress and urges them not to become complacent but to maintain their momentum. He also calls on the dedicated Nkana supporters to continue backing the team, emphasizing their crucial role in the team's aspirations.
