Leicester City coach Enzo Maresca's response to transfer concerns, in light of Everton's interest in striker Patson Daka, suggests that the possibility of players leaving the club is not ruled out. Everton is reportedly considering signing Daka as they seek to bolster their striking options before the upcoming Premier League season. The situation indicates that Daka might not be part of Maresca's immediate plans, as he has not been utilized in the team's first two competitive matches this season. Daka, who joined Leicester in 2021 from RB Salzburg for approximately £23 million, had scored 15 goals in 74 appearances during his time with the club, with four goals in 36 matches in the previous season. Although Maresca did not mention any names, his comments suggest that there might be players departing the team. He emphasized that the transfer market is an ongoing process, and until the window closes, various developments can occur. Leicester's squad remains a work in progress, having seen the departure of some players and the addition of five new ones. Maresca acknowledged that the squad is currently too large and implied that a number of players are likely to leave as part of the ongoing squad adjustments.
