Zambian midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu will not be able to play in an upcoming friendly match this afternoon against Uganda. This is due to the injury he sustained during the match between Zambia and Egypt. Chipolopolo team doctor Wesley Ngongo has confirmed that Kapumbu is resting due to a muscle strain in his right hand. He will be unable to participate in the tournament until further notice. Kapumbu is a 27-year-old midfielder and a member of Zesco United Football Club, which he joined in 2022 as a defensive midfielder. He has previously played for Zanaco FC (2016 and 2018) and Lumwana (2017). The international friendly is scheduled to take place today at the Al Hamriya Sports Club Stadium in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). However, it is worth noting that Zambia has a record of 4 wins and 0 draws against Uganda.
