Three Zambian super league sides Zesco United, Red Arrows, and Zanaco football club had organized a four-day tournament that was held in the Copperbelt province of Zambia. The competition commenced from the 5th of August to the 7th of August 2023, with the first round of games at Kafubu Stadium (luanshya), which were played on the 5th and 6th by all the teams. While Levy Mwanawansa(Ndola)hosted the final game on the 7th. The tournament came to an end with Red Arrows taking the championship with 7 points, In second place was Zesco United with 5 points, followed by Zanaco in third place with 4 points and Green Eagles finished in fourth place with zero points. Zesco United came in second place with 5 points putting to test their newest additions to the team during the tournament, could this have been a good addition and do we hope to see better once the season begins? And in third place is sensational Zanaco FC with 4 points and one point away from Zesco United. The team recently recruited 11 new additions who were put to the test during this tournament. Could this be a good or bad sign due to the fact that the team, still needs bonding time before the season, could this have been a bad move for Zanaco? Green Eagles take in the 4th position having 0 points in the entire tournament could this mean they need a restructure? does this result show they are unready for the season to come? what could be their next step? It was a marvel to watch all four teams come together to have a preseason session and for the new recruits to showcase their talent at the tournament. What a way to start a preseason tournament for Red Arrows, becoming champions! Could they make it to the top this season?
