The Women's Super League begins in a few weeks, and the Football Association (FA) is silent regarding the sponsorships of the upcoming league. Women's football is growing in the country, and this season we have more competitive teams coming on board in both Division One and the Super League. The women's national team is composed of football players from various clubs in the Super League that helped the team reach the biggest world stage, the International Women's World Cup. This serves as a sign of how much improvement women's football has made in Zambia. Securing sponsors for the leagues will elevate women's football to a different level. It provides opportunities for our players to gain publicity and be noticed by bigger and better clubs. The majority of our international professional players were discovered on prominent platforms like COSAFA and the Olympics, where they received substantial publicity. If our players had good publicity and sponsorships, their opportunities would increase. Becoming international players is an advantage, not only for the players but also for the nation. They gain exposure and receive superior training, resulting in better outcomes and more chances to showcase their talent on larger stages. Why has the Football Association remained silent?
