Zambia Women's National Team coach, Bruce Mwape, can now count on the complete roster of 35 players in the provisional squad for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. The team is currently gathered in Germany for an international camp, and the final quartet from Kazakhstan—Catherine Musonda, Ireen Lungu, Hellen Chanda, and Martha Tembo—joined the squad last evening. These four players were the last to integrate with the Copper Queens after their matches in Kazakhstan concluded over the weekend. With their arrival, they are now in contention for a spot in the matchday squad for the pre-World Cup international friendly against Switzerland in Bienne, scheduled for Friday. Today, Zambia is expected to travel to Switzerland to prepare for the friendly match against the Swiss. Following the game, the team will return to Germany to continue their World Cup preparations. They will conclude their Germany camp with a friendly match against the host nation, Germany, on July 7 before embarking on their journey to the Women's World Cup.
