Malawi has issued a warning to the Copper Queens ahead of their clash in the 2023 COSAFA Women's Championship final on Sunday. Malawi Coach Lovemore Fazili has advised the defending champions, Zambia, not to underestimate his team as they are determined to win the title. Zambia reached the final after Sarah Jere scored, securing a 1-0 victory over Zimbabwe. Meanwhile, Malawi defeated Mozambique 2-1, with Temwa Chawinga scoring both goals. If Zambia wins, they will make history as the first country in COSAFA history to defend both the women's and men's championships, and will be the second country, after Banyana Banyana, to secure the title twice. Furthermore, Florence Mwila could become the first female Zambian head coach to win the title.
