Commonwealth Games medallists Stephen Zimba and Patrick Chinyemba made their Olympic debuts at the Tokyo 2020 Games in Japan, and they both made it to the Round of 16. Zimba lost to Andrey Zamkovoy of the Russian Olympic Committee on split points, while Chinyemba lost to eventual gold medalist Galal Yafai of Great Britain on the same scoreline. Despite their early exits, Zimba and Chinyemba were both ranked 9th in their respective weight categories after the tournament. Now, they are determined to do even better at the Paris 2024 Games. Zimba is a welterweight who is known for his aggressive style. He is a powerful puncher who is not afraid to get in close. Chinyemba is a flyweight who is known for his speed and agility. He is a slick boxer who is difficult to hit. Both Zimba and Chinyemba are still relatively young, and they have plenty of time to improve. They are both talented boxers, and they have the potential to be medal contenders in Paris 2024.
