Leicester City defeated Bristol City 1-0 in the English EFL Championship to go top of the table. However, Zambian international Patson Daka was nowhere to be seen. This is the sixth time Daka has been left out of the matchday squad. He has not played a single minute in all nine matches Leicester have played in all competitions this season. Daka was at the center of transfer speculation during the summer window, but none of his suitors could meet the demands of the former Premier League champions. He was eventually left with no option but to remain at Leicester City for now. City head coach Enzo Maresca stated that Daka would be used when the team needs him, but the Zambian international has sat on the bench in Leicester's last two matches. Leicester's victory has taken them to 21 points at the top of the table after eight games, winning seven and losing one.
