FC Muza not only faced a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Diables Noir in the CAF Confederation Cup but also the loss of their captain, Kelvin Mwanza, who sustained an injury during the match. According to information obtained from the club, Muza has told Zedsport that Mwanza will be sidelined for several weeks due to a knock, although the extent of the injury remains uncertain pending a medical assessment. The defeat unfolded at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday during the first leg of their encounter with Diables Noir. Captain Kelvin Mwanza, who came on as a substitute in the first half in place of Gift Simanasa, was stretchered off the pitch in the second half following the injury. As FC Muza prepares for their upcoming match against Nkana FC, there is hope that Gift Simanasa might be available. However, his participation hinges on passing a fitness test scheduled for today. The match, a rescheduled week four fixture, is set to take place at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka. Nkana FC has endured a challenging campaign so far, failing to secure a victory in their opening three matches and subsequently placing their head coach, Beston Chambeshi, on administrative leave. Ian Bakala has stepped in as the new coach and will lead the team for the first time in tomorrow's match after departing from Forest Rangers to join Nkana. Despite their setback over the weekend, FC Muza remains a formidable side in this campaign. They have suffered just one loss in all competitions, with the defeat against Diables Noir being their first in six games. Domestically, they remain unbeaten, having won one match and drawn two out of the three they've played.
