Power Dynamos recorded their first away win of the season on Sunday, defeating arch-rivals Nkana FC 2-0 in the Kitwe derby played at Lusaka's Woodlands Stadium. The fully packed 10,000-capacity stadium was blessed with a game of football that provided few sparks for a derby, but two goals were enough to secure a memorable victory for Power Dynamos and put an end to a 32-year wait for a win over Nkana in Lusaka. Both goals came in the second half, with Andy Boyeli heading home a well-taken set-piece from Joshua Mutale in the 49th minute. Godfrey Mwenya then doubled Power Dynamos' lead in the 51st minute with another excellent header, leaving Nkana goalkeeper Mangani Banda with no chance. Power Dynamos have been searching for their first away win of the season, and achieving it at the expense of Nkana makes the victory even sweeter. For Nkana, their stay in Lusaka has been tough, and they will be hoping to forget about it when they return home to Kitwe. The win sees Power Dynamos move up to 6th on the log with 20 points, while Nkana remains stuck in second-from-bottom with 9 points after enduring their 7th loss of the season from 12 games.
