Zambian striker Justin Shonga has made a move to the Georgian top-flight club, Football Club Gagra, departing from MTN Super League side Nkwazi. The transfer was officially confirmed by FC Gagra through their Facebook page, highlighting their excitement over acquiring the former Orlando Pirates forward. Competing in the Erovnuli Liga, the highest division of the Georgian league system, FC Gagra is no stranger to European competitions. They have previously participated in the UEFA Europa League during the 2011/2012 season and the UEFA Conference League in the 2021/2022 season. Shonga's return to Zambia last season proved fruitful as he showcased his skills and contributed significantly to Nkwazi's campaign. In 20 appearances, the talented striker was directly involved in 17 goals, scoring 10 times and providing 7 assists. His remarkable performances played a crucial role in helping Nkwazi avoid relegation and maintain their status in the top tier for the upcoming season.
