The Zambia women's national football team, also known as the Copper Queens, got down to business yesterday in Rabat ahead of their first friendly against Morocco on Friday evening. The Copper Queens, led by coach Bruce Mwape, now have a full squad after the arrival of former Green Buffaloes attacker Hellen Mubanga, who joined the team yesterday afternoon. Both Zambia and Morocco aim to use the two friendlies to prepare for their 2024 Paris Olympic Qualifiers, with Zambia also needing to prepare for the upcoming COSAFA tournament scheduled for October 4-15. Yesterday morning, the team conducted a loosening up session at the Rabat beachfront. Coach Bruce Mwape and his technical staff led the players in light physical training and some ball work. The match is scheduled to kick off at 20:00 CAT and will be broadcast live on DStv.
