The Zambia Women's National Team assistant coach, Florence Mwila, believes that tomorrow's fixture against the Scorchers of Malawi won't be an easy game for the Copper Queens. Addressing the media during a pre-match interview, Florence Mwila gave a lot of respect to the opponents as she acknowledged that Malawi is a good and well-organized team. She went on to add that it won't be an easy game. "We thank God we have qualified for the finals, heading in the right direction to defend it. Malawi is a good side. They have won 100% from the group stage all the way up to the final. They are a well-organized team. It's not going to be an easy one, but we will push to defend the championship," Mwila said. Florence went on to add that she was proud of her charges and she believes they are settling in well, but there are no guaranteed positions for anyone. Meanwhile, Evelyn Susan Katongo noted that Malawi's strength is the striking force, and their weakness is the defense. The Copper Queens are working to maximize the weakness of their opponents. The Copper Queens, who are the defending champions of this tournament, will face Malawi in the final of the ongoing 2023 COSAFA Women's Championship tomorrow, Sunday 15th of October 2023, at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.
