Zambian forward Edward Chilufya concluded the league campaign with his Swedish side BK Hacken, providing an assist in a 2-1 defeat away to Brommapojkarna in a Round 30 fixture on Sunday. Hacken finished third in the Allsvenskan League standings, failing to defend their title. Chilufya, who joined Hacken on a one-year loan from Danish side Midtylland in August, made eight league appearances upon his return to Sweden. He managed to score five goals and provide one assist during his stint. With the league now concluded and the first match of the World Cup qualifiers set to take place in a few days, Chilufya is currently en route to Ndola to fulfill his national team duties ahead of the match against Congo Brazzaville, scheduled for this Friday. In excellent form with Hacken, the Zambian international aims to replicate his club performance and secure his first senior goal for the Chipolopolo Boys as he faces Congo Brazzaville and Niger this Friday and next week, respectively. Coach Avram Grant intends to begin training some of his key players on Monday, stressing the importance of early reporting for national team duty for those who wish to participate. Chilufya is well aware of this requirement set by his national team coach.
