Zambian international player Rachael Kundananji had a unique and memorable season for Madrid CFF in 2022/23. She was named the second top scorer of the season with 25 goals, ahead of her fellow African, Asisat Oshoala from Nigeria, who currently plays for Barcelona and has managed 24 goals. Rachael Kundananji played thirty matches throughout the season and scored twenty-five goals. She also had three assists during the tournament. Unfortunately, the Copper Queens forward missed out on the nomination despite her good record and being named the fastest runner at the just-ended Women's World Cup. The Copper Queens forward was left out despite being the second-top scorer of the season.
