DEFENDING CHAMPIONS GREEN BUFFALOES HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST THE TITLE

Green Buffaloes Women's, the defending champions of the COSAFA qualifiers, lost to Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals. Green Buffaloes, who finished second in Group A, were eliminated from the tournament after a 3-1 loss to Sundowns. Sundowns were awarded a penalty in the 81st minute of the game to secure their third goal. The Zambian Women's Super League winners return home after reaching the semi-finals. This was their third meeting with Mamelodi Sundowns in the tournament and, unfortunately, the defending champions of COSAFA have now officially lost their reign.
