Zambian forward Kennedy Musonda Junior scored the opening goal for Young Africans in their 5-1 victory over arch-rivals Simba SC in the Tanzanian Premier League on Sunday afternoon. Musonda, who won the Zambian Super League with Power Dynamos last season and also claimed the league title and domestic double with Young Africans, has once again proven to be a key player for Yanga this season as they aim to defend their title. The Zambian forward found the back of the net for Yanga in the fourth minute. Although Simba equalized 10 minutes later, Yanga demonstrated their strength and went on to secure a resounding 5-1 win. Musonda's compatriot Clatous Chota Chama played for Simba but was unable to prevent his team from suffering a heavy defeat. Young Africans currently sit at the top of the Tanzanian Premier League table with 21 points from eight matches. They are followed by Azam, who have 19 points after nine rounds. Simba occupies the third spot with 18 points from seven matches.
