Young NAPSA Stars defender, Evans Banda, is honored to have been selected to join the senior team as they prepare for the upcoming 2023/24 MTN Super League season. Coach Perry Mutapa has strategically included five promising junior players in the 14-day preseason program to assess their readiness for the challenging campaign, scheduled to commence on August 19, 2023. The talented quintet comprises strikers, Farai Marabesa and Evans Kayombo, midfielder Nicholas Chisela, goalkeeper Raphael Phiri, and defender Evans Banda. Although the training routines differ from those of the junior team, Banda is confident in his ability to adapt to the demands of the senior level, stating, "We are gradually adjusting to the intensity and learning a lot," he told Napsa Stars media. After seven seasons in the Young NAPSA setup, Banda's hard work has finally paid off with this call-up to the senior squad. While the challenge to secure a spot in the senior team is formidable, Banda acknowledges that their destiny lies in their own hands, urging his fellow juniors to give their all and prove their worth. When questioned about their integration with the senior players, Banda expresses gratitude for the warm welcome and support they have received from senior players.
