Kabwe Warriors head coach Numba Mumamba believes his squad has what it takes to challenge for the Zambian Super League title this season after his side recorded a deserved 2-0 victory over defending champions Power Dynamos on Sunday. "I think we have a chance to fight for the title. We just have to take each game as it comes. We have the players that can challenge for the title. All we need is to have belief in ourselves and work hard on the pitch," Mumamba told the media after the match. The win was a blow to Power Dynamos' title defense, as it was their second defeat in a row and second of the season in 8 games. However, for Mumamba and his Kabwe Warriors side, things went according to plan. "We planned to kill the game in the first half. We scored the two goals and defended the two goals," Mumamba said. Kabwe Warriors opened the scoring just 3 minutes into the game through Mwamba Mutombo and doubled their lead through Ocean Mushure in the 15th minute. Mumamba thanked his players for their performance in the victory. "Credit goes to the players for the excellent performance against the defending champions. Our aim was to get the three points in this game, which we have managed." The win over the MTN Super League defending champions saw Kabwe Warriors move up to third position on the log with 15 points.
